Voice Tantra Somatics reflections from recent 1:1 sessions
Lately, I’ve been holding several one-on-one Voice Tantra Somatics sessions.
And I started noticing a pattern.
Whenever someone has resistance around the throat –
when there’s fear, shame, or hesitation to make a sound –
there’s almost always another thing that kicks in:
the mind.
Suddenly, the person wants to “understand the method.”
They start asking questions.
Analyzing. Interpreting.
Trying to figure out what this is all about – step by step.
But in most cases, this isn’t genuine curiosity.
It’s a strategy.
A clever delay tactic.
A way to avoid the moment when they’d actually have to stop talking…
and start listening inwardly.
To turn their attention away from concepts and into their own body.
Into emotion.
Into what’s real and alive right now.
Because in that space – there’s no room for mental noise.
No storytelling.
No overthinking.
Only listening.
Only sensing.
Only feeling.
And then…
if we dare to open the mouth –
not to speak, but to release –
to let something move through us…
That’s when the real shift happens.
That’s where release begins.
That’s where transformation starts.
Not through explanation.
But through expression.
